Grumples adventure idea list (Devlog #5)

(Current playable build is attached to this devlog, this list indicates things I will be adding to the game for the next build, also sorry if my devlogs are "Rambly")

Been thinking up some ideas for the pre-pre-pre alpha (I name these builds based on how early in the development process they are, so for example the current build is the "demo" although it is strictly a game play test, by the way you can download it now but do note that the gameplay is very rough around the edges as its the first build I deemed suitable for a very early gameplay demo, see previous devlog for details.) Here are some things i've got planned for it!

First: I plan to add a static NPC obstacle. Example, a guy that stands around but if you touch his leg he kicks you and you get knocked back. I have a (not very good) sprite for this guy that you'll see in an upcoming devlog.

Second:  is pretty standard because it's just game play tweaks. I mostly plan to tweak level layout to make it more comfortable to play and make hit-boxes less janky. I also plan to try to get wall jumping to work as its own mechanic instead of a glitch i turned into a feature!

Third: I am adding (well technically already added since i'm typing this while working on some of these things!) Loading screens. Even though the levels load almost instantly It just seems like something that could save me some trouble down the road. It'll also let you look at something other than the level if your game freezes for some reason.

Fourth: I am going to optimize my scripts. Currently I am using almost exclusively public variables and voids which can bog down performance.

Fifth: I am adding another level. This will likely be the longest and hardest level in the game so far.

Sixth: I am adding a neat little easter egg called the Bar of Soap. This neat little thing will either allow or tell you how to enable the usage of the original loading screen I decided not to us because it looked too plain.

Thats about all I currently plan to add to the pre-pre-pre alpha but there will probably be more than this so I hope you look forward to it. If you want to see the first two levels then you can go ahead and download the Very early gameplay demo from the games page (check the read me/ devlog 4 if you get stuck on a wall jump, also the "(Release)" in the zip folder name just indicates the phase of testing that demo variant is in, I put it through the wringer at least 5 times before I deemed it playable enough so there are a lot of versions of the "Demo").
